The Texas Dall—as its name implies—originated in Texas in the 1960s. It’s a hybrid sheep with a magnificent set of horns that usually curl 1½ times on average. A large ram weighs about 125 to 145 pounds. Rams are generally white or off-white and can also have a beard.

We settled into a large comfortable room that rivals the amenities offered by the big chain resorts and hotels. Our guide was courteous and thoughtful, and careful to ask questions about what we expected from the hunt. I recommend Caryonah to anyone looking for an enjoyable positive hunting experience.
